Sebastian Sturm "Get Up & Get Going"

"Get Up & Get Going" - the third Sebastian Sturm album is for the 30-year Aachen nothing other than a reboot. After the two predecessors, "This Change is Nice" (2006) and "One Moment in Peace" (2008) published on 14.10.2011 for the first time an album directly from Rootdown Records. REGGAE NEWS Review: Clinark "Journey To Foreign"

clinark_cover

It took almost four years until Clinark his solo album "Journey To Foreign" could not publish the long gestation period has not hurt the quality.

Clinark had previously worked in various bands and combos, until he decided in 2004 to London to produce a solo album for which he joined the staff of the Mafia and Fluxy secured scene sizes, which are also the same drum and bass-lines grossed. Even before the musician from Bermuda had made a name as "reggae torch" and reminds his fantastic voice and stage presence to his rootsy the good old days of the 70s and early 80s. His career clearly demonstrates his musical skills that go far beyond simple talent out and you quickly realize that someone has really learned to make music. Even though Bermuda is not just for the typical Caribbean reggae scene appears, but just from here, a new size of reggae come to believe not just by his Jamaican origin, but by his musical repertoire. This man can not only sing, but also each of its 19 riddims self-produced, and play under his direction of experienced & well-known musicians have.

Such a big-Culture Roots album in the tradition of his own musical heroes Aswad, Morgan Heritage and Luciano was born. The latter is also represented with the same title Glorify. In addition, there are other important names of the current Roots Culture Scene such as Maxi Priest, Fantan Mojah and Troy Anthony.

This plate will make a splash here as well, as since Sept. 2008 in England, where she has long since climbed out of the subculture in the radio charts.

Me personally, the riddims sound just a little too much could be deeper on the computer and the bass, but I'm looking forward to hear soon, Clinark to local dances.

REGGAE NEWS Review: Mellow and Pyro Ratz Fatz Peng

Mellow and Pyro Ratz Fatz Peng:

At first you have to say that the plate is in no way a waste of space in a well-packed bag grill. She is just perfect for a barbecue at a German river beach there to dream of tropical.
On the plate it understood the stage musician and Mellow Pyromerz together with the combo Ruffcats their press so often at festivals proven ability to vinyl. They indulge in a rather unusual mix of styles from reggae, ska, soul, hip hop and Latin rock. Some of the songs may remind you of Jan Delay, other rather Mano Chao. But also fillet with danceable Skasongs the total package.
This mix makes it possible to drive from one to sixteen to listen through without being annoyed, which is unfortunately rather become a rarity, but this program seems to be. Swinging reggae comes off with chilled Latin Sound ala Mano Negra.
And just when one is in danger of drifting off into a nod, raise one of Skasong "Dancing in the Rain" again.
It would not be surprised if you walk through the park on Sundays be sonicated to grilling over colorful groups from around the songs of Ratz Fatz Peng would. As I said a summer park grill, leaves you wanting more.
